Shoulder to shoulder . . .

. . . we will fight! fight! fight, fight, FIGHT! I am already this pumped for the game on Saturday - I am going to be crazy excited at the tailgate.

Reasons CU is totally going to win this weekend:
* Our mascot kicks ass. No, literally, she is a tough-as-nails bison and sometimes when she gets loose from her handlers, she sort of smooshes the opposing teams. And, she isn't a stereotypical, offensive representation of a traditionally marginalized segment of society. I'm just sayin' . . .
* Our fight song is waaaaay better than a bunch of goons repeating "ohhh oh ohhhh, ohhhh, oh oh" while making chopping motions with their doofy drunk arms. That is the dumbest chant-cheer-fight song EVER.
* Boulder is probably the prettiest college campus around - and any school from FL is simply no competition in the "ambiance" department. This doesn't really relate to football, other than that the pride and serenity we garner from our campus has to pay out somehow, right?
* Altitude. Them big FL boys are gonna be huffin' and puffin' by the second quarter. And the fans? They will forget to hydrate and be puking in the bathrooms or passed out in the stands. Happens every time.
* I will be there. My faith in the grammatically-incorrect juggernaut that is "the Buffaloes" is still unshaken. They will definitely pull through for me this time (unlike last Homecoming when I flew out and we lost in double OT to Baylor - so sad).

So, the moral of this story is that the Buffs will be great and I will have a fantastic time seeing all of my college buddies - and drinking microbrews that do not suck and are really cheap.
